Valdosta Comic Convention is part of the “Southern Comics and Anime Nerds”. Which is attempting to be a Non Profit Club. We rely on Volunteers to organize and run our events. No one in the club is working for a Pay check. We need more people to ensure these events keep going.

Event Staff
Putting In Time At The Event
Event Staff help us by putting on the events. Event staff often take positions that require all three days come off correctly. Event staff will answer to Organizers.

Part Time Volunteer
You just want free Admission? 3 Hours doing a task can get you in for 1 day. 6 Hours will give you a free weekend. Help us setup Friday or load up Sunday. Or you could help us watch the doors during the event.

Create An Event For The Show
Panelists can earn free entry into the show by planning and performing a event. This event can be a discussion, a game show or even a character meetup.
What do you get for Volunteering?
There is no pay for volunteering. But there is a lot of pleasure from being part of a great event. People will respect you more as a volunteer. You could even use the experience in college and job resumes.
1. Free pass to the event
Requirements: Volunteer 3 Hours for a 1 Day pass or 6 hours for a Week end pass
Why do this: You can Volunteer before, during or at the end of the event. If you want to volunteer after attending the show you will have to buy a pass and then be refunded after doing your volunteer work.
2. Free Lunch at the Event
Features: During the event we provide Drinks, Snacks and Meals. A Meal is only available to people working a shift that day. If working a 3 hour shift you get one meal and 2 meals for working a 6 hour shift in a day.
Why do this: We may only be offering Pizza, Tacos or Chicken but a free meal is still better than an empty stomach
3. After Con Dinner
Features: We buy Staff members Dinner after the con has been loaded up. Sorry Volunteers and Panelists. You have to buy your own meals.
Why do this: We owe you big time and we want to show appreciation. ALSO it helps encourage everyone to get a move on at the end of a long weekend.
